Nowhere in the description does it state that these are over the knee boots. Although they zipped up fine, these are just not practical. you cannot walk in them. Very disappointing, will be returning.

I was very excited to buy these boots! I've been looking for a nice pair for a while and have thought of Frye and such companies. I came across these boots when they were in that day's deals and although there were no reviews yet, I review the maker and the pictures and it looked like a great pair especially for under $200! I finally received them them today and I was very disappointed. The quality looks great and just as in the picture but at 5'4 they came way past my knee making it very difficult to walk..... In addition they are way too snug. I weigh 120lbs and could barely zip up the part past the knee. Although it says the length in the description I am sorry but I rather not measure a length before I buy boots... If the boots are that high I think the maker should provide a picture of a model wearing them. I am returning them now- my first thing ever returned to Amazon and I am upset because I was really looking forward to these boots.
Great boots for tall women!
I've failed for years to find tall leather boots that don't look like I'm swimming in them. These Bernadette Boots by Modern Vintage are the holy grail for those of us with skinny calves!
I'm 5'8" and these boots hit right above the knee when standing. They are sassy but not trampy thanks to the flat heel and sleek styling- perfect for a mommy like me who doesn't want to be frumpy *all* of the time!
The shoe box was damaged and there was leather glue on one zipper but that came off with some rubbling. All in all, minor quality details that are easy to overlook, especially when the discounted price is factored it. I got them for $150 including shipping.
I will add additional feedback after wearing them for a few days.

It's been 2 wearings now:
These run a little small. I ordered an 8.5 expecting to have a little wiggle room but they are snug. Also, it's slightly challenging even to get my feet in. (Narrow at the ankle/bottom of zipper) If you have wide feet they might not work for you.
The zipper tends to come down a bit (maybe an inch) while seated. No biggie for me personally. I just make rezipping them part of the standing up process.
When driving I elect to unzip them to below my knee to avoid any unnecessary stretching of the leather.
And finally, my husband thinks I look HOT wearing them and thus it was money well spent. ;-)

I don't splash out on shoes often but I feel these were a good price and after over *decade* of failing to find boots I look good in I'm so pleased the Bernadette Boots by Modern Vintage worked out!
